Rules

Slime Volleyball

Two slimes, a net, a ball. Slide and jump to knock the ball onto the other side's floor. Let it land on yours and they score. First to five points wins. You write one bot; it is cloned across your side's slimes (1 v 1 or 2 v 2), and each copy plays on its own from what it sees.

Rules

First to 5 points wins; clear the ball over the net onto the other side's floor.

Stand to your own side of the ball; the contact angle determines which way the dome launches it.

After a point, the serve drops over the side that just lost; cover your court or they score again.

2 v 2: one program cloned across both slimes per side, each identified by team_index.
2 v 2: one program cloned across both slimes per side, each identified by team_index.

Writing a bot

Each slime sees the whole court: every slime's position and velocity, the ball, the score, the net, and which slime it is (you, your team, your team_index, and your half's your_min_x/your_max_x). It returns a move and whether to jump. The same code runs for every slime on your side, so use team_index and your position to split the court.

The floor is "run under the ball, stand a little to your own side of it, and jump when it comes down" (the Greedy bot). Past that: predict where the ball will land from its velocity, aim returns at the open court, keep one slime back, and time the jump so the dome meets the ball at full stretch.

Input and output

Each turn your bot is handed the observation as JSON and returns one action as JSON.

Observation: { "you", "team", "team_index", "team_size", "width", "net_x", "net_h", "slime_r", "ball_r", "your_min_x", "your_max_x", "slimes", "ball", "score", "points", "turn", "max_turns", "nonce" }. Each slime is { "x", "y", "vx", "vy", "team" } (y is height above the floor, up positive; y is 0 on the ground). The ball is { "x", "y", "vx", "vy" }. score is [teamA, teamB].

Action: { "move": "left" | "right", "jump": true | false }. Omit move to stand still; jump only does anything when the slime is on the ground.

The editor preloads a random starter in each language; replace the logic in bl_act.
